Pipe Supports Australia, New Zealand & Papua New Guinea – the Nu-Bolt/ I-Rod assembly combines the half-round I-Rod support with a modified pipe U-bolt. Standard U-Bolts are coated black steel, but 316 stainless steel may be substituted. Standard U-Bolt coatings are hot-dip galvanized or SermaGard. All U-bolts have cross-linked polyolefin (polyshrink) applied to the shank. The half-rounded I-Rod, which separates the pipe front the support, is cut and drilled to Fit. Gripping VS Non-Gripping
Non-gripping Nu-bolts are designed to accommodate a nut or washer on top. The benefit of this arrangement is a better secured piece of I-Rod material for pipes that need to move or slide on the support. In addition, the nut and washer on top shield the I-Rod material at the end from the UV exposure.
